This website is dedicated to the computational tools developed by the 'Alternative splicing and tumor progression' research group headed by Didier Auboeuf. We are currently maintaining three tools: FasterDB, Elexir, and Exon Ontology. More information is available on the Tools page.
Alternative splicing is the main mechanism through which cells can produce hundreds of thousands of isoforms from a limited number of genes. Our group has demonstrated that alternative splicing is involved in tumor progression and that tumor cells use different splicing programs when compared to normal cells. Our main objectives are to identify the molecular mechanisms that are driving the alteration of the splicing programs in cancer cells and to better understand how these changes influence the phenotypic plasticity of tumor cells. What it does?

- FasterDB is a web interface that describes known splice variants of human and mouse protein coding genes and their splicing pattern across normal and tumoral tissues.

- Elexir is a web interface to visualize expression data from transcriptome arrays.

- Exon Ontology is a web interface to predict the functional consequences of alternative splicing variations.

- FaRLine is a pipeline to analyse the alternative splicing.
